Deep Sea Days.
Recently the weather has been unreal! surely with our Great British luck something shit will happen soon? Yes im sure it will. So i figure while things are as nice as they are, we should all cram as much Summer related things in as possible, its the British way. So when i was invited to go deep sea fishing i was stoked. Last Sunday i peeled myself out of bed at the ripe hour of 4am to head to Poole and go out on a fishing boat for the day, after an awkward ‘builders breakfast’ in what seemed like a strictly all sailors cafe, not really knowing what to expect we headed out to sea with a really strange skipper called Mervin, Skipper Merv! to us fishermen types. The day consisted of me catching alot of Mackerel which was great, until i was told they were merely the fish to be used as bait, and the rest of the guys catching endless amounts of awesome deep sea critters such as Bream, Rays and Dogfish! Ok i did catch one Dogfish but as its fishy self didn’t officially hit the deck, apparently that doesn’t count as a catch…..Fuck off! it’s a deffinate catch! There was alot of blood and guts involved with the day which in the 35 degree weather made for a great combination of guts, blood, flesh, piss and seagulls, i fucking hate seagulls. They are shit. But all in all it was a rad day and id really recommend it for a summer day out, Dont expect it to be like an episode of deadliest catch! and its kinda expensive but definitely something new and worth doing. Get your sea legs ready and able and head on down and find Merv, yeah skipper Merv will sort you out. Heres some photos.

Mouth watering right?
