In celebration of their current tour with The Cribs, Mazes have put together a cassette single of new material. You can download and stream the A side below, the hypnotic ‘Bodies’. On the B side is a remix from Leeds’ Hookworms. I’d imagine that’s even more out there but at the moment the only way too find out is to get your hands on one of the tapes
The Twilight Sad have unveiled a ridiculous lineup for their remix album. Com Truise, Breton, Tom Furse and Optimo and also Liars. The Liars track is something else, it’s both hands in the air and glitched out weirdness, restraint and delirium, it’s fucking great. You can but the whole record from November 5th courtesy of Fat Cat.
Jack comes out on Fat Cat on the 17th of September. Apparently it’s a cover of a song by someone called Brock Robinson and the song is about a dream he had where he was Jack the ripper. This video in no way reflects that which is a shame.
Since opening for Dum Dum girls back in 2010, Glasgow based 3-piece PAWS have achieved rather a lot in a relatively short space of time. Not content with their reputation as one of Scotland’s most exciting and promising young bands. Their melodic, exhilarating, lo-fi punk-pop has gained them appearances at major festivals, support slots with a host of exquisite bands (the list reads like a who’s who of American alternative music) before signing to the wonderful Fat Cat Records earlier in the year. We catch up with the band to talk all things PAWS.
