Young Colossus is a stunning new art andmusic collaboration project masterminded by Orlando Weeks of The Maccabees. The project is a 6 song soundtrack accompanied by a 24 page illustrated book detailing a story between a gentle appearing giant and a girl, through different adventures in a dreamy organic appearing environment. The soundtrack, written by Orlando Weeks, produced by Nic Nell and illustrated by Rob Hunter, also features additional vocals from Alessi Laurent-Marke of ‘Alessi’s Ark’.

It is a cold and damp Autumnal evening on Hampstead Heath and we are walking across a muddy field towards what looks like a giant wedding marquee illuminated by floodlights and not one of us can get mobile phone signal. Despite the Affordable Art Fair’s best efforts (up-market location, fake grass dotted around the entrance, etc) it feels as if we are sneaking into the back of a festival.
Living and working in Finland, Johannes Romppanen is a photographer documenting a vast array of subjects and areas. We’re talking dudes gathering in saunas to behind the scenes shots from the music videos of bands which include Husky Rescue to projects based around identity and immigration in Finland. His work is straight up and tells no lies. It is what it is.
