Bblood was the first thing the world heard of Peace, it was a lo-fi recording that sounded rhythmically ‘interesting’ in that math sort of way. Obvious comparisons were drawn to Foals and bizarrely Fool’s Gold but there was something grander lurking deep beneath that artistic veneer. Fast forward a year and Peace are looking to become one of the biggest bands in the UK and Bblood gets a fresh lease of life as Blood Shake. It retains a lot of the charm of the original, remaining toned back but equally benefiting from a soaringly galactic crescendo. The video is a total mind fuck, like every bad 90s rock video rolled into one pompous green-screened mess, though I imagine that was intentional…
