Video: Daniel Avery – Taste

Categorised as BLOG., MUSIC.

If you like your music videos fucked up and creepy as all hell then this is right up your street. It’s some stop motion weirdness where the models have been transformed, by the most minute of edits, into princesses of the uncanny valley. The track on the other hand is delectable slice of electro-house, in the most vintage sense of the word, it’s simultaneously an echo of early techno (a la Street Sounds) and completely forward thinking in its choice of sounds and time signatures. Dan Avery has been around for a long while (as STOPMAKINGME) and it seems he’s spent that time learning all the tricks of the trade and perfected his craft to drop monsters like these on labels such as Erol Alkan’s Phantasy.
