Gameboys are really funky and will get you girls, that’s just what I am being told. I believe it too from the ever increasing pile of producers busting out the Mario as their weapon of choice, leading you to believe that he is a regular Afrika Bambaataa. And noone is more guilty of this then Hyperdub, which seems to have become an accidental requiem for any heads lost and disorientated, from chainsaw bass’ and sampling cockneys. I was a little wearyl as to how well I would receive yet another foray into well travelled lands, but Quarta 330 and LV held my hand and were really sweet about the whole journey. It’s a standard 2step shuffle sequinned with familiar 8 bit buttons, that ventures into what to me sounded like porno 8 bit. Pornography of the 8bit. That’s what I call it. It’s dirty, it’s topshelf, and I watch a lot of it, it’s a seedy eccentricity that has to be heard. Second track, ‘Suzuran’ is a little less of a curio, a remix of a remix, what it lacks in oddity it makes up for just being cotch as hell. Buy this.
