Some people don’t get what Lo-Fi/D.I.Y is about. It’s messy and rougher than that kid your Mum didn’t want you playing with. It is brilliant though. I’d like to make it clear that I understand that these terms are bandied about in a way that makes me sad to be a writer but at this point they’re imbedded in the lexicon to a point where they can guide people. If you’ve been listening to British music that get’s tagged with these terms over the last few years this will excite you. Sharm El Shakes are a new band who feature amongst them members of Lovvers, Prize Pets, Sex Beet, Human Hair and French Kissing. Only demos about now but really excited to see how this develops.
