“Electrotrash pioneer and the man who invented the concept of ‘Hipster’ as we know it today, Larry Tee returns with a new video for his single ‘Charlie’”

Finally someone to blame for the shower of shit that has been the last five years of ‘alternative lifestyle culture’. “The man who INVENTED the concept of ‘hipster’ as we know it today”, I can not believe that this is something that anyone would ever want to let out of the bag given that hipsters are completely and absolutely devoid of any values, conviction or overall purpose other than to milk the best bits of genuine art and creativity into a cumshot of uniform non-conformity. Larry, are you telling me that you are the reason that Nathan Barley now looks more like documentary than satire?

Larry Tee’s latest track, Charlie,  is a summer vibe though, and has echoes of his Electroclash classic L.I.C.K.Y all over the place, which leads me to hope that Herve busts out another massive remix complete with air horns and sirens. Then we can just get pilled up and do 2005/6/7 all over again, when it wasn’t all entirely about rapist facial hair, lens-less eye-wear and stealing anything with a BPM… Those were the gateway days for a lot of people making really forward thinking electronic music today so you’re not all bad, Larry.
