You wouldn’t expect that a band like Fear of Men, with a release on a label like Sexbeat, would have the disco producers knocking at their door asking to remix their folksy, indie-pop single. You’d be wrong to think that, you’d be wrong to think it would sound anything other than brilliant too. Beta Frontiers have done an incredible job with Fear of Men’s recent single, Green Sea, taking the serenely mesmerising vocals of Jessica Weiss, and adding in the elements of new wave necessary for dancing times. The result is a snappy slice of electronica that retains the twee charm of the original but transforms it into the sort of thing that could give Donna Summer and Debbie Harry a run for their money.
