I could give you  the standard “This sounds like A + B coming out of the bum of C”  formulae for  COLO. I mean, I use it a lot anyway; it helps you relate to pre-established artists,  so you don’t have to write anything or provide any contextual insight. You just  list bands they sound like. Everyone goes home happy. OR…or I could just give you a brief interview and mix-tape for you to make you’re own decision.(SPOILER ALERT: It’s good shit)

How/Why/Where?

We met at college about 6 years ago and have been making music in various forms and under many names ever since.

Hardware/software:

We record everything to Logic Pro but try to stay away from the computer as much as possible. We have a collection of about 20 different keyboards ranging from a Hannah Montana Kid’s keyboard to some old analogue synths. We sometimes use software synths like Albino for sub bass. We have a reel to reel 4 track tape machine, an old spring reverb unit as well as a cupboard full up of other gear and junk from car boot sales.

Your sound

We’re influenced by a lot of music like LA beats/dubstep/house/garage/electroacoustic/jazz etc but when we make tunes ourselves we just mess around and see what happens.

What is your plan?

It’s early days yet, just want to make as many tunes as possible and get our live set together. We just want as many people to listen to our music with the aim of fully selling out and supporting U2 on a stadium tour and dying in a cocaine tragedy in the next 5 years or so.
