Blood Diamonds produces warped summery electronica that breezes through trance, future pop and tropical with such ease that you’d be forgiven for almost forgetting to dance along with him whilst trying to work on exactly what’s going on. His latest EP, Phone Sex, is made even more sun drenched with the addition of Grimes’ elegantly polished vocals. Where track ‘Phone Sex’ bounced along with an infectiously pop sensibility, ‘Ritual’ heads into leftfiled territory with more vocal production and sampling. Listen out out for the mid-point breakdown, one of the most mellow moments of 2012.
