Lanvin Casts Real People for its A/W ’12 Campaign

Categorised as BLOG., STYLE.

As A/W ‘12 approaches the French fashion house, Lanvin, are doing things a little differently for their new season campaign. Alber Ebaz has veered away from the norm and, shock, horror, used ‘real’ people to showcase his latest winter collection.

Shot by Stephen Meisel, the cast of nine includes 82 year-old grandmother Jackquie ‘Tajah’ Murdoch – an ex dancer, who’s physique quite frankly puts me to shame at a quarter of her age. So, is this a step in the right direction? Or should we leave modeling to the sample sized pros? It definitely gets my vote. Shame that the prices couldn’t reflect ‘real people’s’ spending budgets, but hey, we can’t have everything.
