Lynsey Coke gives us a round-up of the recent Fashion East show at London Collections: Men.

After waiting in a hefty queue in the cold, my consolation prize was being greeted with a Dalmatian puppy, the centre of Joseph Turvey’s Installation. To be quite honest, the puppy was too much of a distraction for me and I didn’t manage to get any good photos of the puppy or the clothes… (But I suspect everyone will be talking about this jumper

Bobby Abley’s collection was set around a small intergalactic space shuttle – with models sporting side-partings pasted in cosmic glitter. The key piece for me was the dreamy mohair-knitted jumper with pink, mid-pockets.

Kit Neale gave us an interesting mash-up of traditional shape and psychedelic print referencing the film ‘Hail the New Puritans’ (if you haven’t seen it, here’s a taster). Neale’s characters were dressed loudly, but unsurprisingly all worked in harmony alongside the set design of Samara Sompsett, who visualized a greasy spoon familiar to those in the East end of London.
