Relocation to relocation.

Have you ever spotted something that doesn’t quite look like it fits? Like west London ex public school kids at a dubstep night, all white chinos, unbuttoned shirts, loafers and confidently groping at black gyal’s bouncy asses, or Tom Cruise in a strip-club.

Natalie Kaplan sets up moments like this (well, not the Tom Cruise moment) out of found objects to compose her photography; “while wandering round taking photos I also collect things, put them in my bag and then plant them in different environments later on.” Other than fabricating those sort of moments, Natalie is hugely selective with what she shoots, telling me, “I look for moments that will make me look differently at things, at space, at little objects, or just something that looks kind of weird or funny.” After graduating from college, Natalie now works as a script-writer, writing animation TV series, which is kind of cool.
