Nick Blakeman

Categorised as ART., PHOTOGRAPHY.

Taking photos of people is the best because landscapes are boring unless you’re lucky and find something genuinely interesting that no-one’s ever seen before. Also people (and animals – thanks youtube) are the primary producers of mega lulz, which always makes for great pictures. Nick Blakeman is a young photographer who takes photos of people, and we like them, so here are some photos and a mini interview with Nick himself.

Hi, who are you?

Well my name’s Nick.

Why photography? What else do you do in life?

I like to keep a visual record of things I do. What else? I dunno, normal things. Have fun.

What’s the attraction to shooting portraits?

People are interesting to look at, and I reckon portraiture is the most straightforward way of representing someone.

Who’s your favourite person to take photos of?

If only one person, probably my friend Simon.

Anything exciting coming up?

Me and a friend are planning to make a few trips to Holland, hopefully culminating in a book of photos.
