Melisa Morgan, you ain’t shit if you don’t knit.
Melisa is another one of those multi-disciplinary talented people that we’re in to at the moment – taking cool photos and drawing things that made us wish we’d bought a moleskin when we were younger and drawn every day since then. The drawings of different keys to people’s hearts, signed by each respective person, was what I first saw and made me like Melisa’s work in a sappy, resentful ‘I should have drawn that for my girlfriend’ way. Here’s what she had to say about herself:
“I’m Melisa, nineteen, studying graphic design in Chicago. I’m exploring a lot of different mediums right now (printmaking, photography, drawing, writing, knitting & other crafts) most of which are fueled by my infatuation with things that show evidence of the human hand. I’m always drowning in sentiment and sass, and I think my work reflects that. A lot of my work serves as personal reminders but ultimately I just want to make pretty things that encourage people to think and laugh and feel even a pinch of what I’m feeling.”
