We’ve featured Maxwell Tomlinson’s photos in our ‘Flickr & Pickr’ feature on more than one occasion, and his photos are insanely good to look at,  We thought it was time to catch up with him on a more Uno to Uno basis to find out about him and his photos, it helps that the girls in his photos are super hot. Just saying.

What are your plans for the day?

Heading to my 9 – 5 photography job to design wedding albums and make lots of cups of tea then hitting up a 80s themed fancy dress party as Bill from the film Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure

Where are you from?

Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK

If you weren’t taking photos what would you be doing?

Chilling with friends and skateboarding from time to time

You’ve got some rad double exposure photos and some awesome panoramic, is all your work on film? If so what cameras do you use?

Yeah I haven’t used digital for the past year or so now, usually I shoot with my Canon A1, Zenit – E, Ricoh XR7 and a few charity shop finds here and there.

I cant help but notice all the people in your photos are really good looking, is there something int he water where you live? Or are you just blessed with good looking friends?

I guess I’m just blessed cause theres a lot of inbred looking people around Basingstoke

Whats your favourite past time? or memory from a day taking photos?

Breaking into a movie set and smoking naughty things in a tent.

Do you have a personal favourite photo? Ive got to say mate, the one below is unreal, theres something really haunting about it.

Thanks, that was taken in the New Forest earlier this summer. If I had to pick a personal favourite it would probably be a photo of two of my good friends being woken by the morning sunshine in my spare bedroom. It’s probably not the best photo in terms of photography but there are a lot of memories behind that bed. Here it is…

How has your summer been?

I finished college in April so this summer seems like its lasted forever. I’ve been to a few festivals but mainly spent most of my time on adventures across the countryside.

What have you got planned for the rest of the year?

I’m moving up to London next week to start a fashion photography course at London College of Fashion

Can people buy prints of your work?

At the moment no but this is something I’m working on.

And finally what are you listening to at the moment?

Biggie Smalls is the only CD ever in my car, other than that..Arcade Fire, Local Natives, Evryone, Mystery Jets and Hares
