The eclectic mix of camp hipsters, colorful Edie Sedgwick look-a-likes and squiggly deer carrying girls, all drawn in varying styles are what jumped out when I stumbled across Lauren’s portfolio. That and the fact that Edie was a major babe, so any re-appropriation of her normally grabs my eyes firmly by the optic nerve, especially if she’s wearing some mad diamond knuckle-duster.

Aside from her drawing, Lauren is pursuing a double major in photography & illustration, running marathons, and teaching herself to bake from scratch, “which is kind of a big deal seeing as I’m terrible at the moment.” She spends the rest of her time day dreaming, finding new music, and searching for inspiration.
