Pages from The Cutting Room Floor: Volume One

Californian artist Catherine Dureault was in the midst of her finals when I spoke to her. Things were hectic. Before she started studying for these particular exams however, she released ‘The Cutting Room Floor: Volume One,’ a small book made up of her photographs and writing. She says she tries to ‘find meaning in anything’ and the clever juxtapositions & charming poetry running through the book allow the reader to draw their own interpretations. She is now preparing for the second instalment of her Cutting Room Floor series.

The earth is my body, my head is in the stars” (Harold and Maude.) I took this during ‘earth hour’, using only tea lights. Lots of tea lights.
